First Visit What to Expect
Filling out Patient Forms
As soon as you walk into our office, you’ll be greeted warmly by our receptionist as part of our family. We’ll ask you to fill out some paperwork in the New Patient Center so that we can get to know your health history and what condition you’re coming in for. If you prefer, you may fill out your online forms prior to your visit.
Consultation
Next, you will have a consultation with Dr. Nick Ferez to discuss your health-related problems, concerns, and potential treatment options. Dr. Ferez will ask you questions about your condition and expectations to determine how chiropractic care can meet your goals.
Examination
After your consultation, Dr. Ferez will perform a chiropractic examination that includes:
• Neurological
• Orthopedic
• Postural
• Physical tests
Nothing in our office will be done without your consent.
X-Ray Imaging
Depending on your specific condition, we may take X-rays. X-rays help us develop the most effective treatment plan for you, and alert us of any serious spinal conditions. Most people are amazed once they see their X-rays up close. In some cases, they can even identify their misalignments and degeneration themselves.
Report of Findings
Once all the information is collected and your examination has been completed, Dr. Ferez will give you a detailed report of all his findings and answer any questions including:
• How can you help me?
• How often do I need to come in?
• What will my treatment cost?
Dr. Ferez will provide the best treatment program for your specific needs. This program will include all recommendations and notify you if your condition requires care with other medical providers.
Treatment
As part of this initial appointment, you will experience your first treatment. This will include spinal adjustments and physiotherapy so that we can start getting you to feel better immediately!
Wellness Program
Dr. Ferez will suggest a wellness program to incorporate at home and work as part of your treatment plan.
If you are in pain when you first come into our office this may include:
• ice or heat application instructions,
• certain activities or positions to avoid,
• and at home exercises and/or stretches.
If it is your preference, our wellness team will work with you also to create healthy habits and routines for your lifestyle. Everyone requires a customized wellness plan since every situation is unique. The purpose of our wellness program is for you to achieve good spinal alignment, have a healthy diet, exercise, and maintain a positive mental state.
