Steps to Get Started
Here’s a simple breakdown of how the process works:
1. See Your VA Doctor
First, you’ll need to visit your VA doctor. Let them know of your pain and that you would like to seek chiropractic and possibly acupuncture treatment specifically with Dr. Ferez.
2. Consult Review
The Community Care department at the VA will review the consult to ensure everything is in order. If approved, they’ll help set up your appointment.
3. Scheduling Your Visit
After approval, the Community Care department will reach out to you and Chiropractic Partners of Clayton to schedule an appointment with Dr. Ferez. It’s important to confirm any details with them, especially if you prefer to schedule directly.
4. Authorization Letter
Once everything is booked, you will receive an authorization letter. This letter will include information about your treatment, an authorization number, and details about your appointment.
5. The Appointment
On the day of your appointment, Dr. Ferez will be ready to help you start feeling better! He specializes in treating pain in areas like the back, neck, shoulders, arms, hips and legs using safe and gentle techniques to address your pain.
6. Follow-Up Care
Dr. Ferez will recommend a treatment plan specifically for you. After an initial course of treatment the VA may need to reauthorize your care. Dr. Ferez and his expert team will guide you through this next step to continue your treatment.
